Altitude: Departure 1,397 metres a.s.l.-arrival 1,277 metres a.s.l.

Duration: Three and a half to four hours ( also suitable for cross-country skiing)

The point of departure is the hotel area of Ovindoli (Magnola village). It follows an unpaved road that passes the Campo di Via area, and leads up to Vado del Ceraso at 1,577 metres a.s.l.
It then leads down to Piani di Pezza as far as the refuge (restaurant open during the month of August). The route moves up towards Vado di Pezza and descends along a dirt-road through the Castagna area and then leads to Rocca di Mezzo.
