From Vado della Forcella
to Fonte Anatella, to Piani del Sirente

Altitude: Departure 1,410metres a.s.l. - arrival 1,113 metres a.s.l.

Duration: One to one and a half hours

From Valco della Forcella a mule-track leads to a clearing in the Anatella Valley, a very hidden and undisturbed area of the beech forest. Recent studies have pointed out the faunistic importance of this area which also features an enclosure that once hosted fallow deer and roe deer. The Anatella Valley longitudinally joins another very pronounced valley, almost entirely forest, that connects with Prati del Sirente, one of the massif's major karst basins with a central lake, used mainly for horse and cattle breeding. Although it is primarily a forest route, there are also many beautiful look-outs on the dominating rock faces on the north-eastern side of Mount Sirente.
